Apogee Series INS
The Apogee Series from SBG Systems is a series of high performance and highly versatile MEMS based inertial navigation systems. Apogee Series INS feature very low noise gyroscopes with low latency and high resistance to vibrations, allowing the Apogee system to provide extremely precise and reliable orientation and positioning data. The Apogee Series features a professional precise time protocol (PTP) Grand Master Clock server and NTP server. This allows you to synchronize several cameras and sensors over Ethernet within one microsecond.Â
The Apogee Series is ideal for applications such as mobile mapping, hydrography, USV, car testing, boat motion monitoring, antenna pointing, and much more. There are several different INS solutions within the Apogee line, the Apogee-A, Apogee-E, Apogee-D, and Nansight Apogee. Learn more about each in the tabs above.
Apogee-A
Apogee-A is a highly accurate Motion Reference Unit (MRU). It is based on the robust and cost-effective MEMS technology and provides precise orientation and heave data.
Features
- 0.008° Roll and Pitch over 360°
- 0.015° Heading when connected to GPS/GNSS
- 5 cm Heave, 2 cm Delayed Heave
Apogee-E
Apogee-E connects to any survey grade GNSS receiver for navigation and aiding equipment such as odometer or DVL. This highly versatile Inertial Navigation System provides orientation, navigation, and heave data in real-time and post-processing.
Features
- 0.008° Roll & Pitch (RTK)
- 0.015° GNSS-based Heading (4m baseline)
- 1 cm Position (Depends on the GNSS receiver)
- Post-processing with Qinertia PPK Software
- 5 cm Real-time Heave, 2 cm Delayed Heave
Apogee-D
Apogee-D is an all-in-one INS/GNSS which embeds an RTK and PPP ready GNSS receiver for applications where space is critical but high performance required. This highly versatile MEMS-based Inertial Navigation System comes with one or two antennas.
Features
- 0.008° Roll & Pitch (RTK)
- 0.015° GNSS-based Heading (4m baseline)
- 1 cm Position (RTK)
- Post-processing with Qinertia PPK Software
- 5 cm Real-time Heave, 2 cm Delayed Heave
Navsight Apogee
Navsight Apogee consists of an Apogee grade Inertial Measurement Unit and connected to Navsight, a rugged processing unit embedding the fusion intelligence and the GNSS receiver (option). This practical set up allows the IMU to be located close to the equipment to sense, and the processing unit close to the operator.
- 0.008° Roll and Pitch over 360°
- 0.015° Heading (GNSS-based)
- 1 cm RTK GNSS Position
- Post-processing with Qinertia PPK
- 5 cm Heave, 2 cm Delayed Heave
- Available with Surface or Subsea Enclosure
