Wireless Data Link Radios
NavtechGPS offers enclosed and OEM wireless data links and data link radios from FreeWave and Pacific Crest (Trimble). For example, the ADL Vantage is an advanced, high speed, enclosed wireless data link built to survive the rigors of GNSS / RTK surveying and precise positioning.
Radio datalinks / transceivers / telematics in the case of GPS/GNSS are particularly useful to transmit RTK and DGPS corrections to a user’s receiver in the field over long distances.Â
In addition to transmitting reference data, these datalinks are 2-way or bi-directional which means they can also send final and corrected data back to the user at the reference location or to another location. The binary packet size of the reference station is very compact and uses little bandwidth. This leaves a lot of room for FEC (Forward Error Correction) as well as other GNSS data to be sent in both directions. There is also room for data transmissions of other than GNSS data.
Whether you are using these license free professional grade spread spectrum transceivers at 900MHz, 2.4GHZ or our UHF/VHF bands for long distance licensed transmissions from 2-35 Watts in the 390-437MHz bands you will find these to be excellent systems to get the data where it needs to be.
These outdoor rated receivers work using many interfaces including Ethernet, RS-232, RS-422, RS-485, USB and manufacturer specific data ports. These are also available in OEM versions as well for integration needs into your own projects.
