SBG Systems Ellipse 2 Micro Series
The Ellipse 2 Micro Series from SBG Systems is a series of industrial grade inertial measurement units (IMUs) which are designed to bring industrial grade MEMS gyro sensors to projects with exceptionally strict SWaP-C requirements. At just 10 grams, the Ellipse 2 Micro Series IMUs provide 0.1 degree roll and pitch. The Ellipse 2 Micro Series provides robust and reliable measurements through the implementation of SBG Systems tried and tested filtering, which has been developed and improved upon over the last decade.
The Ellipse 2 Micro IMU houses three gyroscopes, accelerometers, and magnetometers as well as a temperature sensor. The Ellipse 2 Micro AHRS adds an extended Kalman filter to provide roll, pitch, heading, and heave. Finally, the Ellipse 2 Micro INS provides a GNSS receiver and an odometer for a complete navigation solution.Â

It connects to an external GNSS receiver and accepts odometer aiding for land applications.
