Washington, D.C. On November 7, the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) announced the release of its first umanned aircraft systems roadmap. The purpose of the 5-year roadmap is to outline the tasks and considerations needed to integrate unmanned aircraft systems into the national airspace system (NAS) without negatively impacting the current system. Toward this goal, the FAA has been collaborating with current stakeholders.
